A History of Wild Places, Shea Ernshaw
Dhruv: 5/10 (8/10 before the reveal)
- Had strong start and overall was a nice read, very engaging throughout from a suspense/mystery perspective
- Reveal killed it, significantly
Elton: 3.25/5
- Fine read, fine as in it’s alright
- Easy to read, driving plot, satisfying thriller
- Not world changing or awe inspiring. Some of the mechanics weren’t well explored.
Tony: 7/10
- Fun book
- Didn’t teach me any moral lessons, it was just a story to be enjoyed
- BUT it felt too derivative of The Village by Shyamalan
Jason: 7/10
- Good but rote compared to other works in the genre
- Engaging, very easy to read, like multiple perspectives
- Agree that ending is middling and a little confusing thematically
- End of chapter cliffhangers are super annoying
